I liked this book a lot. Great writing. Liked the movie, too. Although the reality of old cars isn't this nice. Lol. They tend to be mechanically impossible.

I did really enjoy the book, and found it very well written. But a bit disturbing too. I guess all I would say is that although I admire Ella and John`s spunk and they remind me of older friends and family, I hope to aspire to something a…

The book is as delightful a read as the movie is to watch. Both tearjerkers! Thought provoking and touching for those of us in the sunset of our years. Should be shared with our grown children.

I loved this book, although it is rather painful to read. Like a lot of Boomers, I am starting to think about end-of-life scenarios. Previous generations don't seem to have had the same kind of options that we Boomers do (and I'm not…

It is a funny and touching read about an elderly couple, who have been happily married for more than 60 years. Now in their 80s and in failing health, they sneak away from their adult children and their doctors, and away from their home in…

It was a heartwarming read. Not the ending I was expecting (and I had several endings conjured up in my mind!). It wasn't one of the best works of fiction on alzheimer's in my opinion but on aging and illness in general it was pretty…

Loved this book, it will fall under one of those books that I will never forget. Loved the elderly couple, some funny and some poignant parts. The ending made me cry, it certainly makes you think of your own immortality.

This is the oddly enthralling story of an elderly couple, on their last legs with Alzheimers and incurable cancer, who escape their worried children and endless medical appointments by setting out in an old RV on a roadtrip across the US.…

Fantastic, moving, funny & sad. A great getaway for those wanting to leave the ordinary behind. I can see Jack Nicholson & Cathy Bates playing these roles. appeals to the more mature but young at heart.

Ella and John, having been married for 50 years, dealing with alzheimers and cancer, travel from Detroit to Disneyland in their Leisure Seeker RV. I laughed out loud and then I cried. This story evokes the very essence of midwestern…
