Nothing like the original lonewolf Django but more like ... a touchy love story between two slaves in the South right before the civil war. Christoph Waltz was the good guy this time as a pedantic bounty hunter, departure from…

Writer/director Quentin Tarantino once again does what he does best—takes someone else’s idea and twists it into his own signature brand. This time it’s a crass revisionist parody of the Spaghetti Western in which psychopathic German…

An extremely well made parody of the shoot'em up western, and very long too. Its - I must confess - entertaining. The sheer volume of shooting and killing with exploding heads and big squirts of blood is extraordinary - and it gets…

I've never understood the appeal of this. It's violent, but that's not my big problem. It's profane, but that's not it either. It's boring and way too long. It goes nowhere and there's nothing here to justify the length of this movie. Does…

Brutal. A typical Tarantino spectacle. Great actors pushing a false narrative. Enjoyable by those who like blood sports.Typically, an American story.
Watch ‘Selma’ if you want to see a movie of true real life racism, misogyny and…

Excellent. Funny. Relevant. Yes, we STILL live in a violent racist world. Think of the US atrocities in Iraq, Afghanistan, Vietnam, South America, etc. Maybe that’s why so many soldiers come back with PTSD, wind up homeless, suicidal.

Django Unchained was my first Quentin Tarantino film. I’d heard a lot about the director and decided to watch one of his better films. At its heart, the film is a gruesome but realistic interpretation of slavery-ridden pre-civil war…

Entertaining, but still wildly over-the-top gory, as one expects of Tarentino (glad to see Tarentino blown up in this one). Very fun performances from Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz (who I had not fully appreciated before...awesome).

The last great Tarantino movie. His first attempt at a Western is also his most suspenseful. Violence, comedy, chills, and thrills. What else would you expect from such a director?
Liked the movie a lot but 2 things stood out to me about the plot. Why the whole mandingo subplot? Why not just BUY Broomhilda? It would have been less offensive to Candi if they just told the truth. Also, after killing half of Candi's…

Probably, one the most underappreciated movies of all time. This move has everything: It's funny. It's gut wrenching.
It's a love story. Two very different people form a friendship because of a shared idea and they become Western Heroes.…

Apparently I don't get Tarantino satire. It started out okay. Loved the KKK scene, but after that this movie lost me. I thought it was awful and way too long.
