Drawing on the Japanese ideogram katei meaning unified home and garden, Messervy (columnist for Fine Gardening magazine) and Susanka (author of The Not So Big House) offer a "photographic dictionary of ideas" for integrating smaller homes with their sites. Each provides a summary of her "homescaping" design philosophy. Color photos by Grey Crawford and landscape design plans illustrate ways to accomplish this integration. The guide includes a list of the featured US architects and landscape designers. Oversize: 10.25x10.25 ". Annotation ©2006 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)

gardens for people with a lot of money

Jun 15, 2012

nice ideas but wow for so many of them you would really need a lot of money time and be really professional. I got a few small ideas from this but would only use this book if I was to hire someone and wanted to show them what I wanted them to do. I was looking for things for the part time home gardener so not really for me...
