After she lands in the year 1398 on what is today Canada, the living embodiment of the Holy Grail, known as Eugainia St. Claire Delacroix, who can trace her lineage back to the dawn of time, is rescued by the chief of the Mik'maq, whose blood is potent with magic and the mysteries of the Earth, but can these two divine beings forge a better world together? Original.

Set in 1398/99 in present day Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island, Canada, The World Above the Sky is the first in a trilogy of utopian adventure romances exploring European and First People's creation myths in the pre-Columbian (1398) Canadian wilderness.

This is a wonderfully written book. It is full of vivid descriptions and reads at time like poetry. The story is a quest for the holy grail. It is a myth and full of gods and godesses. What makes this book unique is that it is set in the 14th century in the area of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI and involves the Mic Mac Tribe. It is a very detailed story and provides interesting information about the culture of the MicMacs. Normally I do not like myths, but this one was readable because of the involvement of the Native Tribes. I did have to skip over some of the fights in the heavens, but overall an enjoyable read.
