"...The stories in 'Double Happiness' are extraordinary portrayals of the ordinariness of life. NYT 100 Notable Books of 2010

Oct 05, 2010

short stories for me are an acquired taste...I'm finally appreciating the skill to write one, and the energy to come up with the ideas. This collection is written in a very elegant style, short sentences, simple words - had to read a couple of times to try to understand what the point was, and I'm still not sure I get it.

Contains a reading guide at the end, and found that helpful.
