A Faith Fairchild Mystery - #19 in the popular series. Faith Fairchild's friend and neighbour, Pix Rowe Miller, is excited about her son's out-of-town wedding. But she's also concerned about leaving her elderly mother, Ursula, who has suddenly fallen ill. Faith offers to keep an eye on her. As Faith soon discovers, however, Ursula's illness stems not from age but from worry - concern and fear over a dark family secret she's been carrying for over seventy years: the murder of her brother Theo. Faith can't help being drawn into solving the decades-old murder. Also available: LP.

Book 19 in the Faith Fairchild series

Didn't like this. Didn't finish it.
Story didn't hold my interest enough to keep me from slipping to the last chapter to see how the story was resolved.

I've been reading this series for many years since I was home with my children! The character Faith and her minister husband, Tom live in Aleford, a smalll town in Maine. There many mysteries seem to find them. Very engaging and the characters have grown over time. Try the first one in the series, The Body in the Belfry.

I usually love the Faith Fairchild series, but I found this one to be too "preachy." There were too many places where the story line seemed to go off into a lesson for the reader which I found distracting and unnecessary.
For some reason a couple of my favorite authors such as Joan Medilcott have started doing this which I find disappointing.

The 18th book in Page's Faith Fairchild series. There are two mysteries contained within the book: one that took place during the Great Depression and one from the current day. The author does a great job blending the mystery with Faith's everyday life. And the yummy sounding food that Faith whips up doesn't hurt either!

Very, very light . Read it by the pool you will float .Also being nowhere near an oven is a good thing with all these tempting recipes.
