A brief, readable account of the rule of Stephen Harper from 2006 through 2010. The author looks at how the Harper government has managed Parliament, shifted the balance between freedom and national security, moved legislation to the 'right' on many social issues, and adopted an 'aggressive' foreign policy. The book has endnotes and an index but no bibliography.
