Narnia ... where anything can happen (and most often does) ... and where the adventure begins. The Dawn Treader is the first ship Narnia has seen in centuries. King Caspian has built it for his first voyage to find the seven lords, good men whom his evil uncle Miraz banished when he usurped the throne. The journey takes Edmund, Lucy, their cousin Eustace, and Caspian to the Eastern Islands, beyond the Silver Sea, toward Aslan's country at the End of the World.

Like all Narnia books, this is incredible, but what I find is that as you go through the series you get more and more hard blows to the heart. This is no exception. I will not say why, because it will ruin the book, but I can tell you that, like in all the others, Aslan is at the heart of every story.

Derek Jacobi does a great job narrating this exciting Narnian tale. The sea adventures of this book are fun, and you can't beat the story of Eustace the Dragon.

I didn't enjoy this reader as much as the other books but the story is fantastic. This is one of the best books if you like seafaring and adventures like the "Odyssey". The characters seemed more developed also in this book - Lucy wants to be pretty like any teenage girl, Edmund is tired of being a kid instead of a grownup king, and Caspian is tired of ruling a kingdom. I love them all so much. And Eustace is quite funny in the beginning until he mellows out.

These are great books for kids and adults! I really enjoyed the audiobook version of the book. Excellently read! I was pleased to discover my least favorite parts of the movie were different in the book.

Wow! I am really amazed at all I'd forgotten about the rest of the books in the Chronicles of Narnia series. I really enjoyed this one. So much so that i rented the 2010 movie based on this book.
