For more than six decades Elizabeth Taylor has been a part of our lives. Now acclaimed biographer J. Randy Taraborrelli looks past the tabloid version of Elizabeth's life and offers the first-ever fully realized portrait of this American icon. You'll meet her controlling mother who plotted her daughter's success from birth...see the qualities that catapulted Elizabeth to stardom in 1940s Hollywood...understand the psychological and emotional underpinnings behind the eight marriages...and, finally, rejoice in Elizabeth's most bravura performance of all: the new success in family, friendships, and philanthropy she achieved despite substance abuse and chronic illness. It's the story of the woman you thought you knew--and now can finally understand.

(*Elizabeth Taylor quote*) - "I can't remember a day when I wasn't famous."

If I were to best describe Elizabeth Taylor's celebrated life to you in just 3 words - Those 3 words would probably be - Scandalous - Dramatic - Diamond-studded...... (Uh... Need I say more?)

Already on her way to becoming a Hollywood star at the age of 10 - This celebrity-biography covers Taylor's active life (that was forever in the spotlight) quite thoroughly.

Of course - You may find that you do not much like the woman that author, Randy Taraborrelli reveals to you in his book, as it strips away the glossy veneer to portray Taylor as she really was - Arrogant, attention-seeking, avaricious, reckless, monstrous towards her peers, generous, even foolish at times but, above all (through the tumultuous relationships and the personal mayhem) a survivor.

Also included in this book of 548 pages is a 24-page photo gallery, as well.

This biography was publish back in 2006. Elizabeth Taylor died in 2011 at the age of 79.

This biography was written about Elizabeth Taylor 5 years before her death in 2011. It certainly covers all the glamour, all the drama, and all the excitement of this movie-star legend's life. It also contains a 24-page photo gallery for your added enjoyment.
