I recommend that all parents and teachers allow their children to read this book. It is a great book with great background knowledge. It offers a child to learn about egyptian history. It also gives facts about how the egyptians communicated during their time. This is an exciting book for children who love to draw because it tells about how the egyptians drew pictures that we now see today. A teacher could even create a lesson on this topic such as having their students draw some of the symbols they saw to communicate with their peers. I believe any child would enjoy reading this book because of the animals portrayed in the story.

"Pepi’s father was painting the inside of a tomb. He said that he needed a statue or a tame lion for the painting".
