Loved it!!! This rates as one of Susan Wigg's better stories. It goes quite deep into the characters and the journey back to her father's childhood is very moving.

What a beautiful story. I have read so many mysteries I was ready for something lighter and this really did it for me. It takes place in the present and the past. The past being when France was occupied by the Germans during WWII. The characters were well developed and very likeable. Loved it. I will be looking for more books written by Susan Wiggs.

I loved "Map of the Heart? and read the book within 24 hours. Camille lost her husband five years ago in a climbing accident. Every since then, she has sheltered herself and her teenage daughter from anything that could be harmful. When her father receives a package that begins to spark some interest in probably in France, he decides he is going back to see to his property. As the story unfolds between present day and World War II, the stories begin to collide, bringing the book to an awesome ending. Loved the mystery, romance, family story and reunions.

Give me grand romance in the style of Wuthering Heights or The English Patient! This book is not it.

One of the best by Susan Wiggs. Though her books qualify as "chick lit" they always go deeper into trauma and healing. Fully developed characters, a great sense of place and a happy ending. What's not to love?

I have always enjoyed the stories of Susan Wiggs and this has to go down as one of my favorites. This is an interesting tale of love that takes place in the present time and travels back to the end of World War II in France. Love has been lost and fear has taken in its place in Camilles life, but as the story progresses she is forced to move into the world again. But she is not the only person who find love. Through her restoration of photos she pieces together the story of her father and his mother and her love. Delightful story with characters that makes your heart warm as they travel through their journey in life. One of her best books.
