Add a CommentI watched the movie and was a bit impressed by Abagnale's techniques. Listening to the audiobook, I'm impressed! What a shame that the audiobook isn't completed. My next step is reading the paper book!
I have also recommended this book to my friends as it is just great!

Before I went to the movie by the same name, I saw a 48 hours episode on this case. It really intrigued me. This young conman was able to dupe so many people, and elude the law. I bought my copy from work and read it really quickly. I really liked this book. I just ate it up in one sitting. It is funny and most unbelievable story you will hear. I am not sure how much of it is real as Frank is a great conman but as a story it is great! (Side note: I enjoyed the movie as well).
The first-person memoir that led to the hit DiCaprio and Tom Hanks film, full of splashy tales, exploits and escapades - Abagnale passes tens of thousands of dollars in counterfeit checks, impersonates airline pilots and other professionals (doctor, lawyer, college professor), commits crimes across the Western world. He admits at the outset the amount of his career stemmed from intellectual challenge without consideration for right and wrong, and the desire to line his pockets with corporate cash and his bed with bevies of women. One wild ride!
Amazing movie! Truth is stranger than fiction - looking forward to reading the book
A very interesting read! Light and enjoyable!
I wish I was Frank W. Abagnale. What an amazing story!
