A stunning example of the "new" Blink 182. This album demonstrates the now matured, previously goofy members of Blink 182. Blink's sound has changed dramatically; the saddest songs of "old" Blink were at most resentful, but this album contains songs with deep emotions. Tom Delonge's voice is no longer a youthful whine but an aged (but still wonderful) tone. A great song is Up All Night, with a distinctive instrumental and thoughtful lyrics ("And all these demons, they keep me up all night"). My favorite, however, and coincidentally the most mainstream song from Neighborhoods is After Midnight. The drum intro gives me chills, and the overlapping of Tom's and Mark's voices are familiar but different. The lyrics are so relatable and full of raw emotion. I recommend this to anyone who just wants to listen to good modern music.
