I would rate this book 5 stars. Wonder is a really heart-warming book about a kid named August. Since he was born, he had this medical issue that made him different from the rest. He has been homeschooled his whole life until the fifth grade, where his mom puts him in middle school. He had to go through tough times, with people getting forced to be his friend, people playing cruel games behind his back and just plain rude bullying! I like how this book shows the perspectives of different characters. This is a really cool thing for an author to do because you get their story and you understand why someone cried or got mad. This proves that there are always two sides to the story. The person getting bullied isn't always the one that's the victim and deserves all the sympathy, but the bully might have a reason to be mean. You have to know their perspective before you take aside. I would recommend this book to all my friends. If you have the choice to be right or kind choose kind. -R.J Palacio
